Research Director, Crime and Education Lab (UChicago)
I am a Research Director at the University of Chicago Education & Crime Labs, where I lead large-scale randomized evaluations and long-term follow-ups on programs that aim to accelerate student learning, expand career pathways, and reduce risks of dropout and crime.
My current projects include studies of high-dosage tutoring in Chicago Public Schools (Saga Tech, Saga Literacy, and long-term follow-ups), the Genesys Works workforce development program, and Elevate personalized learning. Across these, I focus on producing rigorous, policy-relevant evidence and working closely with schools, government agencies, and nonprofits to translate findings into practice.
My broader research agenda lies in applied microeconomics, with an emphasis on education, workforce, and crime.
